The Elemental
Flicking through the pages, I’ve forgotten every word
The lines are meaningless, the photographs are blurred
And when I close the book, the story opens again
Eden born, a golden dawn, revolving hallucination
That comes into us breathing, semi-conscious, half-awake
And never leaves us alone
All at large it’s plasma charged and washing onto my map
As I look into the meaning, half submerged the memory of
A hundred million buzzing signals, shaking flesh from my bones
And the elemental spirits take me for their own
And put to fire everything we’ve ever known
The dawn of history the golden age of man
The world is ending just the same as it began
Unaware but everywhere, don’t mention the open casket
When you’re looking for a reason, white light shines from silver words
All over you, over me
I’ve got the medicine and if you’ve got the time
Let’s take another ride through this crazy terrifying life
Another season in the sun and then
The elemental spirits take me for their own
And put to fire everything we’ve ever known
The dawn of history the golden age of man
The world is ending just the same as it began
Ending now
A hundred million buzzing signals
Shake all the flesh from your bones
Uncollision, all collapsing fast now
Unexpiring, all familiar
Falling apart on its own
Elemental spirits take me home
The elemental spirits take me for their own
And put to fire everything we’ve ever known
The dawn of history the golden age of man
The world is ending just the same as it began
The world is ending just the same as it began
Ending now
Ending now
Remember there is only now
